The
8th annual Netcentricity Conference was
a day-long exploration of Information
Technology-Enabled Transformations. The
purpose of the conference was to illustrate
how technology is dramatically
changing industries, markets and
organizations, and to discuss
how to bring the transformation
theme into management education.

the documentary The
Transformation Age: Surviving a
Technological Revolution with
Robert X. Cringely, co-produced by the
Smith School and
Maryland Public
Television were shown.
The keynote speakers included
Fred Ehrlich, former head
of Sony Digital,
Eric
Eggleton, Senior Vice
President and Chief Content
Officer, Maryland Public
Television, and Professor
Ann Majchrzak of
the University of Southern
California.
Additional conference speakers

Mark
Warren, Business Process Manager in
sales and marketing at Foundation Coal
Corporation, and
Sudhendu Rai, Principal Scientist
for the Xerox Research Center.
