Dr. Paul Tesluk is Associate
Professor of Management & Organization
and Associate Director of the Center for
Human Capital, Innovation, and
Technology at the Robert H. Smith School
of Business at the University of
Maryland. He previously taught at Tulane
University. Tesluk’s current research
projects include studying the factors
influencing the effectiveness of virtual
teams, the adoption of new technology in
work teams, leadership and executive
development, the relationships between
human resource management practices,
employee attitudes, and firm
performance, and the implementation of
new innovations in organizations.
Tesluk’s work has been published in many
journals including Academy of Management
Journal, Personnel Psychology, and
Journal of Applied Psychology; he is on
the editorial boards for the latter two
journals. Tesluk has received awards for
his research on team effectiveness and
work experience and development from the
Society for Industrial/Organizational
Psychology. He has worked with a number
of private and public sector
organizations in both research and
consulting capacities and his research
has been supported by agencies such as
the National Science Foundation and the
National Institutes for Health.
