Paulo Prochno is Lecturer in
Management at the University of
Maryland’s Robert H. Smith
School of Business. Dr. Prochno
received his PhD in Management
from INSEAD (Fontainebleau,
France). Before starting his
doctoral studies, he completed
an MBA from Vanderbilt
University. He has an Industrial
Engineering degree from the
University of São Paulo
(Brazil). Prior to joining the
Smith School, Dr. Prochno was on
the faculty at the Ibmec
Business School and at Fundação
Dom Cabral in Brazil, and a
visiting scholar at Essec in
France. He teaches courses on
strategic management, global
strategy and innovation
management. Dr. Prochno’s
research focuses on cross-border
transfer of practices within
firms and on the management of
organizational routines. His
research has won an award by the
Academy of Management.
