Chris Bingham is an Assistant
Professor of Strategy. He
teaches the Strategic Management
course in the first year MBA
program. Professor Bingham’s
research focuses on how firms
capture opportunities in fast
moving, unpredictable
environments. His current
research examines how and what
firms learn from heterogeneous
experience (e.g., new market
entry, internationalization,
acquisitions, partnering), and
the origins and evolution of
organizational capabilities.
Professor Bingham has also
authored several other articles
that have been published, and/or
have been accepted for
publication, in journals such as
Managerial and Decision
Economics, Human Resource
Management Journal, Strategic
Entrepreneurship Journal and the
Academy of Management Review.
Professor Bingham received
his PhD in Strategy and
Organization from Stanford
University. Before starting his
doctoral studies, he completed
an MBA and a Masters in
International Studies from
Brigham Young University where
he graduated with honors. He
also worked with McKinsey &
Company, Deloitte Consulting,
and Price Waterhouse, as well as
with several entrepreneurial
firms. Professor Bingham is a
former nationally sponsored
snowboarder, is fluent in
Spanish, and enjoys running and
waterskiing.
