Faculty Profiles
The management and organization faculty at
the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University
of Maryland, comprises prolific scholars and
award-winning teachers who are making significant
contributions both to the body of knowledge
in management and to business practice in the
networked economy. Research by members of the
department considers topics in the broad areas
of strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation, organizational
behavior, entrepreneurship, and human resource
management. The cross-functional nature of many
of their projects reflects the interrelatedness
of business functions and its impact on business
decision making.
Through their teaching, Smith’s management
and organization faculty members assist current
business leaders and entrepreneurs in developing
the skills necessary to create and sustain successful
organizations, and help prepare a new generation
of managers to meet business challenges of the
future.
