Professor Hvidkjaer's research interests include empirical asset pricing, behavioral finance, and market microstructure. He has investigated issues such as the asset pricing implications of informational asymmetry, the interaction between bond and stock prices, the determinant of corporate bond returns, and the stock price effects of investor sentiment. Professor Hvidkjaer's work has been published in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies, and he was awarded the Journal of Finance Smith Breeden Distinguished Paper Prize for 2002.
