Join the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship for the Fourth Annual Cupid’s Cup Business Competition, April 17, 2009. See who takes home the cup and $22,500 in prize money, awarded to the best University of Maryland student or alumni startup.

The afternoon begins with the BB&T Invitational, a showcase of Dingman Center portfolio companies and student run businesses in Van Munching Hall’s Pownall Atrium. Explore other startups and student businesses and network with Smith alumni, entrepreneurs and executives from around the Washington, D.C.-Baltimore region from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Then the battle is on! Watch five finalists compete for the cup and the prize money, beginning at 3 p.m. in Frank Auditorium. They’ll be judged on their eight-minute business pitch presentation and evaluated by a panel of judges, including Plank. The audience will also have an opportunity to weigh in on the “People’s Choice” award.
