Mowatt Lane Parking Garage
Visitor's parking for the Robert H. Smith School of Business/Van
Munching Hall can be found in Mowatt Lane Parking Garage on the top two
levels, in numbered spots. Pay stations are located by the elevators.
From Baltimore and
Points North
Take I-95 South to Capital Beltway (I-495). At split, take I-495 West (Exit
27, right lanes) to Silver Spring/Bethesda. Take Exit 28B, New Hampshire Avenue
(MD Route 650). Proceed South on New Hampshire Avenue to Adelphi Road (two
traffic lights). Turn left on Adelphi Road. Proceed South on Adelphi Road
through intersection with University Blvd. (MD Route 193). Make next left at
light on Campus Drive. Turn right at circle on Mowatt Lane. Follow signs to
Visitor Parking. Van Munching Hall is on your left. Turn left into Mowatt Lane
Parking Garage. *Note: This route takes you past the conventional way to UM
to avoid congestion on US Route 1, so ignore signs that say to exit for UM.
OR,
Take I-95 South to Capital Beltway (I-495). At split, take I-495 West (Exit 27)
to Silver Spring/Bethesda and stay in the center right lane to take immediate
left exit to College Park, US Route 1. Follow signs and stay right to US Route 1
South, Baltimore Ave. (Exit 25B). Continue on US Route 1 South for more than two
miles, passing main entrance to campus. Turn right at light on Guilford Road.
Follow signs to Visitor Parking. Pass parking garage on right. Turn right into
Mowatt Lane Parking Garage. Van Munching Hall is on your left. *Note: This is
the posted route to UM and easiest to follow, but may take longer due to
traffic.

Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) South to Greenbelt Road (MD Route
193). Follow signs to MD Route 193. Turn left at light off of ramp. Turn right
at light on MD Route 193 West. Pass US Route 1 and university entrances to
Comcast Center and Byrd Stadium. Turn left at light on Adelphi Road. Turn left
at next light on Campus Drive. Turn right at circle on Mowatt Lane. Follow signs
to Visitor Parking. Van Munching Hall is on your left. Turn left into Mowatt
Lane Parking Garage.
From
Montgomery County and Northern Virginia
Take I-66 East or I-270 South to Capital Beltway (I-495). Go East on I-495 to
Baltimore/Silver Spring. Take Exit 28B, New Hampshire Avenue (MD Route 650).
Proceed South on New Hampshire Avenue to Adelphi Road (two traffic lights). Turn
left on Adelphi Road. Proceed south on Adelphi Road through intersection with

Take New Hampshire Avenue (MD Route 650) or Riggs Road (MD Route 212) to
East-West Highway (MD Route 410). Proceed East on East-West Highway to US Route
1. Turn left onto US Route 1. After approximately one mile turn left on Guilford
Drive. Follow signs to Visitor Parking. Pass parking garage on right. Turn right
into Mowatt Lane Parking Garage. Van Munching Hall is on your left.

Take New York Avenue (US Route 50) East to Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295).
Take MD Route 410 Hyattsville/New Carrollton exit. Turn left (West) at traffic
light on East-West Highway, MD Route 410. Turn right on US Route 1 North. After
approximately one mile turn left on Guilford Drive. Follow signs to Visitor
Parking. Pass parking garage on right. Turn right into Mowatt Lane Parking

From Annapolis and
Points East
Take Rt. 50 West to Capital Beltway (I-495). Go North/West on I-495 to Exit

Take I-270 to Exit 8, Shady Grove West. Go 1.5 miles, cross over Route 28/Darnestown
Road. Turn right onto Gudelsky Way and left onto Gudelsky Drive. Follow the road
to the University System of Maryland Education Center.
University of Maryland, Baltimore
From I-95, take Exit 53, I-395 (Downtown Baltimore). Proceed past light rail
station and Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Turn left at Lombard Street. Proceed
four blocks on Lombard Street to the University of Maryland, Baltimore campus.
Classes in the Part-time MBA Program are held in the
School of Nursing building,
655 W. Lombard Street. Soon the
Smith School's Baltimore location will be moving to the University BioPark.
