Pitch Dingman: How to Register
Informal Sessions:
To pitch your idea at one of the weekly informal Pitch Dingman sessions, all
you have to do is show up at 3570 Van Munching Hall prepared to
talk about your idea. No written business plans are necessary at this stage.
Our informal sessions are ‘closed-door’ – allowing you to focus your
attention on your presentation and our feedback. Other students will not be able
to listen to your idea and feedback you receive from us. You decide when and if
your idea is ready for public presentation at one of the Pitch Dingman
Competitions.
To better manage your time and ours, and to ensure that we make the best
possible resources available to you during your pitch, please email us at
PitchDingman@rhsmith.umd.edu
to let us know you are coming.
Pitch Dingman Competition:
To compete in the end-of-month $2,500 competitions, you must first attend at
least one informal session.
Register to compete by email and submit an eight-sentence description of
your business idea along with a 5-minute Power Point presentation appropriate
for the investor audience at the competition.
